NEW ACCOUNT SMARTVAULT DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS 

You have been sent the invite to complete setting up your login information for your online client portal through SmartVault.

With your client portal you can access copies of your documents and upload new documents at any time. Please bookmark https://zweig.smartvault.com/  for future use!
Please search your spam or junk folder for an email sent from [email protected]. The email contains your unique activation link to your personal vault and online client portal. You will need to create a password and complete the login process.                                                                                                                                                                                         
The site is best accessed by using the Google Chrome browser and will not load completely in Safari or Firefox or other browsers. 

● After logging in, click on the "View Files and Folders" tab in the left-hand menu. 

● Select the name of the vault you wish to access (YOUR NAME, CHILDS NAME, BUSINESS NAME, etc.) ○ You should be able to see each of the multiple year folders; TY21, TY22, etc. These stand for Tax Year 2021, Tax Year 2022, etc.

● Expanding the appropriate year will reveal the folders: ○ Client Tax Organizer ○ Client Source Documents ○ Client Tax Returns 

● Please upload your scanned tax documents to the corresponding years "Client Source Documents" folder by dragging and dropping the files into the upload box or by using the browse and upload function. 

● Please upload ALL documents at once. If you upload one at a time, here and there it is very confusing for our system. 

● PLEASE UPLOAD AS PDF, JPG, EXCEL OR WORD DOCUMENT FILES, AS WE ARE UNABLE TO OPEN OTHER FORMS OF FILES. WE APPRECIATE YOU FOLLOWING THIS FORMAT, AS IT WILL HELP US PREPARE YOUR RETURN EFFICIENTLY.

You can scan directly from your smartphone! To fill the Tax Organizer out on your computer, download the document and then open it in a PDF viewer/writer program (like Adobe Acrobat Reader DC) and use the FILL & SIGN function to fill out. The Acrobat Reader DC icon for FILL & SIGN is a little purple pencil with a squiggle. Alternatively, you can download, print and fill out by hand.
